The main function is to spray atomized fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine.
it controls fuel delivery to high pressure part of pump in common rail engines
Schrader valve on fuel rail.
there should be a valve on the fuel rail on the engine that you release the pressure, it looks just like a tire valve.
If it has one, it will be located on the fuel rail.
Should be a valve on the fuel rail to plug into
On the fuel rail there is a cap and under it is a schrader valve. Depress the schrader valve.
If the fuel rail does not have a Schrader valve, you will need an adapter to put in the line.If the fuel rail does not have a Schrader valve, you will need an adapter to put in the line.
fuel pressure?? if it is fuel injected it should be on the end of the fuel rail.
My first guess would be to use the Schrader valve on the fuel rail as the connection point. From the front of the car, the fuel rail should be just behind the valve cover, and it should be rather shiny. On the left side of the fuel rail, there is a Schrader valve (like the valves on the tires), and this is where you can connect a fuel pressure gauge.
A vacuum operated daiphram valve located on top of the fuel rail
under hood, on fuel rail which is connected to each fuel injector there should be a valve that looks like a tire valve. That is the shrader valve, test fuel pressure there.
On the fuel rail of the 93 explorer there is a pressure valve. With the battery disconnected, place a rag around the valve to catch any fuel. depress the valve until the fuel stops coming out.
