If the Car is taking on the smell of gasonline while on and running it usually means that the car has an exhaust leak. more than likely around the headers. I would have the exhaust system checked out.
it turns to cool the engine it has little fins on it to draw/suck air in to cool the engine down
If your engine fan turns on when the engine is not running it is because the engine's coolant temperature is above the factory preset level at which the computer turns on the fan or fans to cool the engine back to normal.
It pulls the cool air from outside of the engine compartment through the radiator to cool the hot anti freeze for circulation though the engine block. The relay turns the fan on/off with a command from the thermal switch.
On a 1978 Firebird with a 400 engine, the oil pressure sending unit is typically located near the oil filter, on the engine block. It's usually positioned on the driver's side, towards the rear of the engine. You may need to access it from underneath the vehicle for better visibility and reach. Always ensure the engine is cool and the battery is disconnected before attempting any work.
It is a little tight but it can be done very fast just make sure the engine is cool and you need a open end wrench to get to the nuts. Good luck.
the cool sensor is located under the throttle boby on the front of the engine. disconect the wiring harness and use a box wrench (19mm) to remove it
You will get cool fire Dragon
On most cars the engine turns a belt. This belt turn the alternator(to charge the battery) and turns the coolant pump ( to keep the engine cool). Check the belt if it is loose or broken and fell off. Don't drive if the car is overheating as you will ruin your engine
Your car fan turns on when you have your air condition unit on because, your engine heats up more when the air is on so the fan needs to come on to cool the engine down.
they turns pink
To change the oil pump on a 1999 Firebird, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Drain the oil and remove the oil pan by unbolting it from the engine block. Once the oil pan is off, you can access the oil pump, which is typically located on the lower front of the engine; unbolt and remove the old pump, then install the new one, ensuring the gasket is properly aligned. Reassemble by reinstalling the oil pan, refilling with oil, and reconnecting the battery.
The cool water hitting your piping hot exhaust makes the metal contract (Shrink) and it makes a ticking noise.
