This question refers to the 1980 General Motors/Chevrolet K10 4WD PU. The OEM fitment for this application was 235/75/15. Using OE wheels a 245/70/15 (+0) fitment is possible but it will result in speedometer error. Additionally the load rating of this tire must be verified as sufficient for the vehicle. Optional aftermarket wheel/tire fitments include 245/75/16 and 275/60/17.

What is the proper tire size for a 1980 Chevy Caprice?
I got a 2003 Chevy silverado 4x4 z71 stock suspension , and i install on it 285/75r16 tires, that's the biggest tire that you can use, i put that tire size to in a 2002 Chevy silverado work truck 4x2, with no problems. You can trust, good luck.
with a lift i have seen 44s but with out a lift... no idea just run with the stock size as you will get better fuel economy
