I just paid $310 ($254 parts & shop supplies, $56 labor) to have alternator replaced on 2000 Olds Bravada.
the alternator + replacing fees lies between $350-$400 if the alternator is remanufactured (not brand new). The cost may reach $600 if it is brand new
It is important to know the cost of replacing parts or making repairs on a car. For a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue it should cost between $90 and $200 for a person to replace the alternator on their own.
If you do it yourself the alternator will cost around $200.00 and 2 days labor. My son just did mine and it was horrible. The alternator sits on the passenger side firewall behind the engine. Dealerships will charge anything from $700 and up to do it, most of that cost will be the labor. Good Luck
