The distributor rotor sensor is a component in an internal combustion engine's ignition system that detects the position of the distributor rotor. It typically uses magnetic or optical technology to generate a signal corresponding to the rotor's position, which is essential for timing the ignition spark delivered to the engine's cylinders. Proper functioning of this sensor ensures optimal engine performance, fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions. If the sensor fails, it can lead to misfires, poor acceleration, and other ignition-related issues.

The cam sensor is integral to the distributor. The distributor is not repairable and must be replaced as an assembly except distributor cap and rotor head.
It is inside the distributor, under the rotor.
It is the plate under the rotor in the distributor.
The cam sensor is the "pick up plate" in the distributor, it is the plate under the rotor inside the distributor cap.
If you remove the distributor cap and rotor then you will see the cam sensor bolted on the distributor and it will have an electrical connector pluged into it.
It's located on the distributor. You don't have to remove the distributor to replace the sensor. Remove the air cleaner, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the distributor cap, disconnect the camshaft position sensor wiring harness, remove the distributor rotor, lift the camshaft position sensor assembly from the distributor housing Camshaft Position Sensor. Installation, Install the camshaft position sensor into the distributor. Align the sensor into the notch on the distributor housing, connect the wiring harness, reinstall the rotor, reinstall the distributor cap. Tighten the mounting screws, reinstall the air cleaner.
The cam sensor is inside the distributor under the rotor.
Underneath the rotor in the distributor. Crazy I know...
