What is the gap on the spark plugs on a 1999 Ford Windstar?

The Owner's Manual says the gap is noted on a decal in the engine compartment. I'd rely on that.

The gap is also cited in the Owners Manual as .052-.056 (around page #261)

When I finally found Motorcraft brand plugs for my 2001, there were 2 different gaps cited at the parts store. I ended up not having to change the factory gap of about .055

My Chiltons and the spec given to me at NAPA with the plugs said 0.053-0.056" for 1998 3.8L. The Autolite Platinum 2 plugs were not sized to this either.

Between 0.042 and 0.046 it's in the Ford Windstar manuel if you have one it's almost at the end of the book. Hope it helps!

If you go with the bosh platinum 2 plugs you don't have to worry about the gap, they come pre gapped and work like a charm. I am really pleased with them in my 98 3.8l.
