They had a problem with the steering column shaft slip joint, it was too sloppy. They have a replacement part to cure that problem available at the dealer.

There are two knock sensors located in the block. They are just under the intake manifold.
It is screewed into the side of the engine over by the starter.
The 4.8, 5.3 and the 6.0 GM engines require removing the intake manifold to replace a knock sensor.
There is 2 of them and they are underneath the intake manifold. You will have to remove the intake to get to them.
It is screwed into the passenger side of the engine block just in front of the starter.

slight knock when turning can be caused by a loose wheel bearing,worn ball joints,or ball joints that need grease,can also be caused by a worn bearing in side the steering column,or worn out shock absorber.
