Although nothing is "perfect," and the closest thing to perfection is certainly a matter of opinion, most scientist would probably agree that the perfect fuel is hydrogen. Best would be to use it for nuclear fusion, but it's not technologically feasible right now to use fusion as an energy source. However, hydrogen still makes an excellent fuel today. It can be used in fuel cells and also burned directly and the only product is water! Is not how to use hydrogen fuel, but how to make it. If it is made from natural gas (as it currently is), more total carbon dioxide is emitted using this conversion process than if the natural gas was just burned directly. The ideal source of hydrogen gas is from water and sunlight. Certain solar cells can use sunlight to do direct electrolysis of water, forming hydrogen and oxygen gas.

Would Unobtainium be the perfect fuel for the Alcubierre drive?

Since the Alcubierre drive would require exotic matter and specifically matter with a negative energy density, unobtanium might be a perfect fuel (presuming that its a consumable) given the significant overlap of a theoretical material with such a broad definition.

How is fuel processed in the engine in order to make the car operate?

For gasoline fuel, the perfect air/fuel mixture is approximately 14.7 times the mass of air to fuel. Any mixture less than 14.7 to 1 is considered to be a rich mixture, any more than 14.7 to 1 is a lean mixture - given perfect (ideal) "test" fuel (gasoline consisting of solely n-heptane and iso-octane). Simply put, the fuel/air mixture explodes inside the cylinder, driving the piston down, thus turning the crankshaft, which drives the transmission, thus driving the drive wheels. not true the perfect air fuel mixture is 16.9 Tyler w write this copy write 2010 February 22

The Perfect Car for Your Eco Garage?
