3.48 inches.
The Bore of a 350 cid engine is 4.00, the stroke is 3.48 inch..
4.001" Bore with and 3.48" Stroke would make it a 350. Thats if it was kept to the factory condition. 4 Bolt Mains
Primarily the bore size. The 305 has a bore of 3.74 and the 350 is a 4.0 bore. They share the same stroke on the crank. And no, you can't bore a 305 to a 4.0 bore.
The bore and stroke of a 350 cubic inch (5.7L) Chevrolet engine are typically 4.00 inches (101.6 mm) for the bore and 3.48 inches (88.4 mm) for the stroke. These dimensions contribute to the engine's performance characteristics, including its power output and torque. The 350 engine is a popular choice in various applications, from muscle cars to trucks, due to its balance of power and reliability.
4.00 bore 3.48 stroke
The bore and stroke is different, But if you set the 2 side by side they will look the same other then some 400 engines have an extra freeze out plug in the side of the block that the 350 don't have. 350 bore and stroke is 4.000 bore, stroke is 3.480 400 bore is 4.125 and stroke is 3.750
A 4.060 bore with a 3.75 stroke is 388. A 4.060 bore with a 350 crankshaft is 360. yes the cubic inches of a Chevy small block with a 4.060 bore and a 3.75 stroke would have 388.4 cubic inches of desplacement however if you have a 4.060 bore and a 4.00 inch stroke you can have 414.3 cid but you have to use a 5.850in connecting rod for clearance of the counter weights
4.000 inches -- same bore size as a Chevy 350, the difference is a 327 uses a 3.250 stroke and the 350 uses a 3.480 stroke.
Displacement of "350 bored 30 over" seems to refer to an engine specification, likely indicating a 350 cubic inch engine with a bore size of 30 over (30 thousandths of an inch larger than the standard bore). This means the engine's cylinders have been bored out to accommodate larger pistons, increasing the engine's displacement. The exact displacement can be calculated based on the new bore size and the stroke of the engine. However, additional information, such as the stroke length, is needed for a precise calculation.
no. the bore and stroke are as follow the 305 3.736''x 3.48" and the 350 4.000"x 3.48"
The only thing special about the Vortec is the heads -bore and stroke should be the same on all 350 blocks. Cam is probably different though.
327 Chev smallblock bore is 4.00"/ Stroke is 3.25". Just to compare , a 350 is 4.00"/3.48"
