The manual and dealer says that you can use 5-30 through the life of the vehicle, but I have 250K on my car and I used to live where it snowed, so I run heavy weight castrol 20-50. It works great for me and I do not hear any valves tapping. i been using that same exact oil for 8 years now and I just get an oil change faithfully every 2500-3000 miles.
