Automatic Transmission Fluid
Dexron III automatic transmission fluid. Should be the same for HICAS if equipped.
The power steering fluid reservoir is up on the passenger side wheel well in the engine bay. Looks like a short fat silver coke can with hoses coming out of it. On a side note, the 300zx twin turbo uses ATF (automatic transmission fluid) not power steering fluid. usually a green casing with black top. the following link is NOT a 300zx, but the reservoir is about the same. http://www.sillbeer.com/images/engine/power-steering-reservoir.jpg

in the power steering pump, on drivers side out near front of motor.
the power steering reservoir would be to the front left (green casing with black top) this would be you facing the car from under the hood. the hose below it should route you to the power steering pump. it is also recommended to use ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) and NOT power steering fluid in the reservoir (from personal and professional experience, it leaks far less)this is what it would look like... but this is NOT the same car, but the part in question looks identical)
It will hold between two and three quarts

no, but it will lose alot of power
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo typically uses a specific type of power steering fluid known as CHF 202 or CHF 11S, which is a synthetic hydraulic fluid designed for high performance and temperature stability. It's important to check the owner's manual or consult with a Porsche dealership for the exact specification required for your model year, as recommendations may vary. Using the correct fluid ensures optimal steering performance and longevity of the steering system.
Make sure pump has enough fluid. Then in a slow steady fashion turn the steering wheel left to right going from steering stop to steering stop 5 or 6 times
