The 307 Oldsmobile engine is typically paired with a GM TH350 or TH400 automatic transmission. These transmissions are well-suited for the 307's performance characteristics and are commonly used in various GM vehicles from that era. For manual options, a Muncie or Saginaw transmission could also be considered, depending on the specific setup and modifications. Always ensure compatibility with the drivetrain and vehicle application when selecting a transmission.
307 CID Oldsmobile engine
yes
You can put Oldsmobile 350 heads on an Oldsmobile 307, if the 307 is 1984 or older. It will take some work but it can be done, I know for a fact that it can, because my 307 has 350 heads on it. It runs great. I'm not sure about the cam though.
You rent or buy a hoist, undo motor mounts trans mounts etc then lift it over core support without trans or leave trans attached and roll it out the front. This is easiest way, but have to take apart front end
the 307 only had 140hp, only the 442 with the "9" code 307 had 180.
Some do. What year?
Oldsmobile used 307s in those days, not 305s - the 307 had 140 hp
