the exhaust cam should be lined up 9 o clock position and the intake cam is lined at the 3 o clock position you pretty much have to get the align tool or otherwise a screwdriver in exhaust cam since it doesn't stay still
Point the intake cam lobe down and the timing mark on the cam gear at the 12 o clock position with the piston at TDC.
It tells the engine management system the cam position in operation which set up engine timing and speed data for the ECM.
Timing on a single-cam 1998 Honda Civic is marked on the cam shaft. The distributor will also need to be set of the appropriate degrees.
there is no cam sensor on any 1996 saturn- i presume there is a code p0341 set- check the 1/4 plug wires, plugs, and coils
crank sensor will cause car to no start cam sensor will only set check engine light kbutlrtech@yahoo.com

If it is a solid lift cam, Then the valve specs will be written on the cam card that came with the cam. If it is a hydraulic lifter cam shaft then you adjust the valves like any other camshaft.
the cam sensor is under power steering pump! remove pump then set aside,do not remove any power steering hoses, cam sensor is reachable now!! take out bolt that holds it in place,pull straight up to remove..
You just set the cam chain tensioner - give me a break...
