The fuel sending unit typically does not have a dedicated relay; instead, it is usually part of the fuel pump assembly and works in conjunction with the fuel pump relay. The fuel pump relay controls the power supply to the fuel pump, which in turn activates the sending unit to measure the fuel level in the tank. The sending unit then sends this information to the vehicle's fuel gauge. If there are issues with the fuel gauge, it may be related to the sending unit, the relay, or wiring connections.
there is no fuse for the fuel sending unit. its a called a fuel pump relay and its located under the hood o the drivers side in a black box that says fusees.
Under a plastic shield below the glove box.
The fuel tank has to be removed to gain access to the fuel sending unit. The fuel sending unit and the fuel pump is replaced as a unit.
If you are have fuel gauge problems I would suspect the sending unit in the fuel tank to be at fault. Rarely the gauge is the problem.
Chevy never had a fuel reset button on any of there trucks. Check fuel pump for power at the fuel tank/fuel sending unit. If you have power there then replace pump. If you have no power at the fuel sending unit then CHECK the fuel pump fuse and relay.
If you are referring to the fuel level sending/pump unit, you have to drop the fuel tank. It is located with the pump inside the fuel tank.
To replace the fuel sending unit in a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, first, relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and running the engine until it stalls. Next, disconnect the battery and drain the fuel tank before removing it from the vehicle. Once the tank is out, remove the old sending unit from the top of the tank, install the new unit, and reassemble everything in reverse order. Finally, reconnect the battery, reinstall the fuel pump relay, and check for leaks before starting the vehicle.
Not sure exactly what you want to know. The 95 will have fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel sending unit and fuel pump, and fuel pump relay. Fuel injectors inject fuel into the intake manifold on the engine. The relay is in the Power Distribution Box in the engine compartment. The fuel pump and sending unit will be located ontop of the gas tank under the vehicle. The fuel pump pumps fuel into the engine and the sending unit send info of how much fuel is in the tank to the computer which then in turn sends to the gauge cluster that you see. Does this help any?
definatly sending unit gm's are notorious for this
This depends on what sending unit you are speaking of. If it's a fuel sending unit, this is in the gas tank. You will have to drop the fuel tank to do this.
To replace the fuel sending unit on a 1988 Dodge Raider, first, disconnect the battery and relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel cap and the fuel pump relay. Then, lift the vehicle and remove the fuel tank by disconnecting the fuel lines and support straps. Once the tank is down, access the fuel sending unit by removing the retaining ring and lifting it out of the tank. Install the new sending unit by reversing these steps, ensuring all connections are secure before reassembling everything.
how do you replace the fuel sending unit
