On a classic Beetle, tire pressure's different front to rear--18psi in the front, 26psi in the rear. It's like this because the engine is in the back, and the car gets harder to drive if the pressure's the same at both ends. (You can also create this differential by using larger tires in back, which is done on the Porsche 911.)
