You failed to mention what year the S10 is but, most of them use a fusible link to protect the alternator circuit.
GM vehicles do not use inertia/reset switches.
if you remove the moter Mount it is more accessible.
my Beretta is a 94 and it hood release is broke just the silver cable show ,,, i use needle nose pliers and pull it !
A 1995 Beretta front brake caliper is not held on by a Torx bolt. Use a 3/8" Hex key.
What caliber is your beretta ????
just pop out the switch or use a screwdriver to pop it out unplug the connecters and do the reverse to install it.
