if the engine is the same size and type then yes usually they only change the bell housing on the transmission and sometimes the routing of the accessories but have to remove all that to remove the engine anyway

On the passenger side of the engine by the bell housing of the transmission. A 10mm bolt holds the sensor in and one can possible access it from above or below, depending on the size of your hands.
Bell housing to engine block, 4 bolts are 3/8"-16 and 2 bolts are 7/16"-14.
crank sensor is located at the top of the transmission bell housing,two hex bolts that hold the crank sensor in place.
The bolts that go from bell housing to block on a 5.7 (350 c.i.d.) are 3/8 bolts. standard thread with a 9/16 head. The bolts should be no shorter than 1 inch and no longer than 1 1/4 inch.
