Why is your Metro 114 Auto gearbox sticking in 3rd gear when in drive or low how do you fix the problem?

You probably have a blown fuse. The same one that controls the radio, dash lights and some other accessories also controls the transmission shifter. My 92 Metro was blowing a fuse regularly. It was the 10 amp fuse that powered the turn signals and reverse lights. When the fuse was blown I had to use the manual shifter release to shift out of "Park" and the car always tried to start in third gear. I could manually downshift but I still did not have turn signals until I replaced the fuse. After about 6 fuses, I decided to take more permenent action. I replaced the fuse with a direct replacement, self setting circuit breaker for about $7. Then, I could hear the circuit breaker tripping when I shifted into "Reverse". About 5 seconds later I could hear the circuit breaker resetting itself. So, now I know that the "Reverse" detection switch or "Reverse" lights have a short. But I really don't care because the symptoms are self correcting.

Check ALL fuses. If you want to take the fuse for the lights out, just start pulling fuses until it goes out. There may be more than just those lights on that fuse.

How can you know what fuse is not working in a Nissan sentra 2001 you am searching for the fuse responsible for the door locks the inside lights and the keyless entry alarm system?

I would take a 12V tester ( $6) and test the circuits; if the tester lights up after the fuse, the fuse is good and doing it's job. Mark

Where is the flasher on a 2004 avalanche?

The flashers are in the DS fuse panel, behind that fuse panel there is also a flasher relay that controls the truck and trailer signal lights and the trailer brake lights. To get to the back of the fuse panel you must take the bottom part of the dash off.
