Get the blade directly from a Subaru Dealer. The other brands do not fit . I've tried to adapt them, it will not work. Get the whole wiper blade arm and blade from Subaru only. Very expensive for a wiper blade around $18

Most likely, the wiper blade is shot. However, check to see if the rear arm moves freely and appears to have enough pressure towards the glass. The 2001-2006 Acura MDX's have a proprietary rear wiper and you must either go to the dealer for a replacement wiper blade or you can buy aftermarket "refill inserts" which is just the rubber blade rather than the entire wiper blade and frame.
The 2006 Toyota Matrix takes a special 11" rear wiper blade that fits the special rear arm. This wiper blade can be difficult to find in stores, however see related link below.
