It uses Diamond Tech/Diamond Pro from Mitsubishi and I can't find it anywhere. A couple of stores tried to sell me a substitute but be careful if you still have a warranty, you'll probably void it...
Mopar atf+4 do not use dextron/mercon
All Chrysler four-speed automatic transmissions are very sensitive to the quality of the transmission fluid. Only use Chrysler ATF+[3 or 4] in these transmissions. Do not use Dexron or Mercon, no matter what the manual or dip stick says.
my husband has a 1998 dodge truck and he uses GM Dexron-III/Mercon Automatic Transmission Fluid. You can buy at any automotive store. Dodge,Chrysler and Jeep products require ATF + 4 made by Chrysler. While it is okay in a pinch to top off with GM Dexron-III/Mercon, replacing it with that will cause you problems. They are different.
5w30 oil, "Green" colored coolant, "Dexron plus three" trans fluid and gasolne
ATF+3 or the newer ATF+4 ONLY!!!!! Using Dexron/Mercon or ATF will cause problems with the transmission and due to there not having the proper additives for the correct lubrication of the gears and can cause the transmission to 'burn up'.
A 2006 Dodge Stratus uses Mopar ATF+4.
Only if you want to destroy your transmission. Dexron is a GM product and shouldn't be used in a Dodge. Use ATF+4 which has replaced the older ATF+3 transmission fluid.
The transmission control module on a 2003 Dodge Stratus is located on the power distribution box. It is on the driver's side of the box.

The Dakota 4.7 take ATF +4 fluid, not Dexron or Mercon. The capacity for a 45RFE transmission is 14 quarts after a complete drain. Otherwise, it is 10 quarts for a complete drain, or 4 quarts for a filter replacement.
i put 2 quarts dexron mercron tranny fluid in my dodge 2000 stratus it jerked once so i didnt drive it anymore and changed the fluid asap to synthetic will it be okay?
All Chrysler four-speed and six-speed A/T are very sensitive to the quality of the transmission fluid. Only use ATF+4 in these transmissions. Do not use Dexron or Mercon. Chrysler four-speed automatics only use ATF+4, regardless of what the dipstick or owner's manual says. To quote Mopar Magazine, "ATF+4 is the right fluid for Chrysler automatic transmissions.
