the clutch release could have broken , the brakes could have locked, the engine could have blown, the transmission could have broken. These are mostly things that have happened to our ranger. It depends what you mean by stops
If the noise stops when the car stops, it's in the wheels. If it sounds like a roaring sound, it's a wheel bearing that needs replaced. If it sound like "Whoop..whoop..whoop.." it's a bad tire...
Does it make noise when stopped and the engine running as well? If not, I'd check for a bad wheel bearing.
your keys?
Many things, but a clutch bearing seems likely.
Bad wheel bearing.
Apparently it does. Try this at home: Light your torch and listen to the sound it makes while burning. Then blow it out with your breath, noise stops, why I don't know. I am still trying to figure out why it burns when I pee.
check your brake pads
noise
It sounds like wheel bearings. They make a noise while they're in one position but when you hit the brake, it moves them a little, and the noise stops.
Why did my 1992 ford ford ranger stops woking why i am driving.
no the car just stops
you most likely have low brake fluid or if it stops fine its just an annoying noise
