if its a front wheel drive vehicle then it could be the axels
could be a wheel bearing...or just that its a french car
Bad wheel bearings usually cause a grinding noise, and are known to only cause it when turning.

most grinding noises that come from turning is usually a cv axle that needs to be replaced. Can also be a bad wheel bearing. If you hear the grinding when turning to the right then the left front wheel bearing is bad.
Many different things can cause a rattling noise in a Mazda tribute. Stark by checking the engine belts and all brackets for anything that could be loose and causing a rattle.
By replacing the chain and tensioners.
It sounds like you have a bad CV joint. Often times the rubber boot covering the joint will go bad after a while and allow dirt and moisture in the joint, causing noise, most noticeable on turning.

mine is a 2001 QX4 with the same problem. as far as i know, it could be a bearing problem.
Noises have to be heard to be correctly diagnoised. Check the motor mounts to see if they are broken.
