On a 2006 Kia Sportage ( both the 2.0 liter four cylinder and the 2.7 liter V6 )
( inspect at 60,000 miles / replace at 80,000 miles , they also show that
both engines are interference engines )
65000 miles.

IT don't have a timing belt to change.
it is auto timed thru the cam shaft and crankshaft sensors.You cannot change it. The timing belt has timing marks when you change the belt in which you line up the crank and cams.
