Dead battery, defective starter, are the most likely causes.
From the information given, it is impossible to make a guess. Is it an 'electrical' click or a 'mechanical' click? Where is the "click"noise coming from? The engine compartment? the dashboard area? The ignition switch? the tapep player/radio? More info is needed.
You know your ignition switch has gone out when you turn the key and there is no click or any noise at all. If there is a click or other audible noise it is probably the spark plug or something of that sort.
Yes. After inserting the key, turn it counterclockwise one click.
Dead battery, loose or corroded battery terminals, defective starter, solenoid, or ignition switch.
turn key/ignition half way wait 5 seconds listen for a click
bad solenoid...will usually click up a storm when you turn on the ignition.
THAT DEPENDS ON WHAT IT'S DOING. DOES IT TURN OVER WITHOUT STARTING? FUEL? SPARK?? DOES IT DO NOTHING AT ALL? DEAD BATTERY??? DOES IT JUST CLICK WHEN YOU TURN THE IGNITION? STARTER????
Turning my ignition on and wont turn off because it is faulty.
Check battery cables for tighteness and corrosion Could be starter solenoid
Could be either a bad ignition switch or a bad voltage regulator (not opening circuit on shut-down)
First, make sure you have the correct remote. FCC: E4EG8D-444H-A. Also, do you have memory seats in your MDX? If so, make sure your remote says MEM 1 or MEM 2 on back. For programming: Do steps 1 - 12 on the same remote (AT TIME OF PROGRAMMING BOTH REMOTES MUST BE PRESENT SINCE THEY WILL NOW BOTH HAVE TO BE REPROGRAMMED.) The following steps 1-12 are done on a single remote step 10 is done on all remotes to be programmed up to 4 can be programmed 1) get into the car shut the doors (including trunk or tailgate) and make sure they are unlocked 2) turn on the ignition (number II position)(do not turn on the engine just the ignition til the dash lights come on) (LISTEN FOR A QUIET CLICK) 3) press the lock button on remote (turn to off) (Do not remove key) 4) quickly turn on the ignition (do not turn on the car just the ignition) (LISTEN FOR A QUIET CLICK) 5) press the lock button on remote (turn to off ) 6) quickly turn on the ignition (do not turn on the car just the ignition) (LISTEN FOR A QUIET CLICK) 7) press the lock button on remote (turn to off ) 8) quickly turn on the ignition (do not turn on the car just the ignition) (LISTEN FOR A QUIET CLICK) 9) press the lock button on the remote the locks should cycle to indicate that programming mode was entered successfully 10) press the LOCK button on each remote you want programmed and the door locks should cycle again to confirm programming. THIS STEP NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR EACH REMOTE 11) turn off the car fully and remove key. 12) try locking/unlocking with remote to test The important thing is to quickly turn the ignition off then on after hearing the click and pressing the lock button. If you hear the click in the off position, you waited too long and must start over. This does work, I just used it to program my 2004 MDX, 10 minutes ago. Although it took a couple tries.
IGNITION SWITCH, UR RADIO'S SECONDARY POWER COMES FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH SO WHEN U TURN YOUR CAR OFF THE RADIO AND OTHER ACCESSORIES TURN OFF AS WELL.
