Ignition switch..is my guess..check EVERYTHING electrical...could be Daytime running lamp module..if equipped... good luck also...everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the local library should have a professional shop manual available, to make copies of, in the Reference section...good luck:)

You cannot actually turn off the lights while the car is driving or in any gear but park. If you would want to turn the lights off while you are parked for some reason, put the car in park, turn off the car completely, pull the emergency brake up, then restart the car. This overrides the headlights and they will stay off while the car is running-however, as soon as you release the emergency brake- the headlights turn back on.
