I had problems finding mine ('96 Nissan 4wd king cab), because there is a factory installed amplifier under the passenger seat, so all the wires going to the speakers change colour after exiting the amp. Have a look at what goes into and out of the amp... i just ended up bypassing mine.

The starter solenoid? Attached to the starter. Round thing, wires, etc.
It is directly above the clutch pedal, hanging from it's wires.

try a tune up fuel filter, plugs, wires ect...
remove the speaker covers from fear deck. remove the four screws that hold the speakers in the rear deck. four screws hold each speaker in place. unplug the wires from the connecters. if aftermarket speakers cut after plug and splice new speaker wires into existing factory wires. reverse the procedure to install new speakers.
on factory wire harnes, there are 5 speaker wires. 4 are (+). on speakers, but only one (-). when i hook up aftermarket head unit do i hook up all negative speaker wires together

The speaker wires on a 2005 Avalanche are white. Most automobile manufacturers use white wires for the speaker wires. After market speaker wires are usually red or blue in color.
the speaker wires are on the drivers side under the plastic runner at door they are green and dark green and blue and dark blue
Use a line out converter spliced into the rear speaker wires to connect RCAs to a sub amp.
