the ground for the rear lights is by the radio aerial inside the rear passanger side wing.
i have tail lights but do not have brake lights nor do i have turn signals. i have replaced brake switch and all bulbs
You have a bad ground. The sockets the bulbs go into have a reliabilty problem where the ground disconects inside. If more than one light is doing this then the ground wire is not contacting the body or frame any more. Rather than crawl under the car for two hours trying to find the faulty conection I usually make another ground point myself.
Probably a ground problem. Find the common ground for the lights.
Kind of vague on the question. If all other rear lights work....tail and turn signals, I'd say it's the brake light switch. You'll find it mounted under the dash, just behind the brake pedal. As you press the brake the switch "opens" to send the signal to the brake lights. These replacement switches are really inexpensive and available at any parts store.
1. Burned out bulb. Easiest to fix / find. OR 2. Fuse blown. OR 3. Trailer Fuse blown (yes it effects the tail / brake lights) OR 4. Ground wire not grounding. Hardest to fix / find.
is it legal? brake lights, turn signals.. etc. does it meet the requirements met by your local DMV? to find out.. just call your DMV and talk to them.
u need to replace flasher can in your vehicle This could happen if flasher had hazzard flasher "on" and could be broken so it will not turn off. (I assume center brake light still works) if so, need new flasher switch in steering colum or find a way to rewire brake lights from brake light switch to rear lights. This is just a guess. Be sure brake light switch is OK.
Sounds like the brake light switch is defective or out of adjustment. You can find it on top of the brake pedal, usually with 2 wires running to it.
There is a brake light switch that is probably bad. It will be mounted under the dash and will touch the "arm" of the brake. There will be a couple of wires running to it. These are inexpensive and easy to replace. They are also adjustable....so you might luck out and find that it is out of adjustment.
use an ohmmeter it will show the ground or a test light if it lights up it willl be the other wire
Are any of them working on either side? If so turn on and off lights and turn on and off signals and press brake pedal to find the positions of the sockets on the working lights. For more information on bulbs, see sources and related links below.
can someone help me I can't find where the fus is for brake lights and what is the amp number for a dodge straus 2005
