The Power Steering reservoir in 1999-2003 Windstar is located in the back-left (passenger-side) corner of the engine compartment.
Likely to be a white canister about 2 1/2" across with a black, screw-type cap.

on a1995 ford windstar was running fine until power steering fluid leaked and foam up on to the engine
Check and see if your power steering fluid level is low.
In a Ford Windstar, the power steering unit is typically located on the engine, mounted to the front of the engine bay near the driver's side. It is connected to the steering column via a series of hoses and is driven by the engine's serpentine belt. You can identify it by looking for a pump with a reservoir attached, often labeled as the power steering fluid reservoir.
NO ! ( My Ford Explorer uses automatic transmission fluid as the power steering fluid )
where do i add power steering fluid on a ford escape hybrid
Power steering fluid.
Ford escort has a power steering fluid capacity of one point. The manufacturer recommends that you never overfill the power steering fluid.
If the power steering on your 2001 Ford Windstar SEL is fluctuating, it may indicate a low power steering fluid level, a malfunctioning power steering pump, or a problem with the steering rack. Check the fluid level and top it up if necessary; if the issue persists, inspecting the pump for wear or leaks is advisable. Additionally, consider checking for any air trapped in the system, as this can cause inconsistent steering assistance. If you're unable to resolve the issue, consulting a mechanic may be necessary.
Might be due to low/no fluid level in the power steering reservoir.
It is not uncommon for there to be some incidental loss of power steering fluid. I have added minor amounts of power steering fluid to my 2001 three times over the years. No more than a couple ounces at a time though. If there's more loss than that, start examining the power steering hoses and connections for signs of leakage.
My 2010 Ford Escape's manual says it has electric assist steering.......would it even have power steering fluid?
