The bank 2 is located on the driver side of the engine on the Mazda Tribute. The Sensor 2 is located after the catalytic converter.
bank 2 is the u cant get to ez close to fire wall sensor 1 is the one precat or close to the top and sensor 2 is post cat u need to get it from under the car . to remember bank 1 or bank 2 bank one it on the side of cylinder 1
you need to find out what sensor it is there is two there is an upstream witch is sensor 1 is before the cat and a downstream witch is sensor 2 is after the cat. bank 2 should be passenger side
You did not specify which O2 sensor it is. Is it sensor 1 bank 1, sensor 2 bank 2, sensor 2 bank 1, or sensor 1 bank 2. There are four O2 sensors on a mazda 626
To replace the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor on a 2002 Mazda Tribute, first, ensure the vehicle is cool and disconnect the battery. Locate the sensor, which is typically situated on the exhaust pipe or manifold, and carefully unplug the electrical connector. Use an oxygen sensor socket or wrench to remove the old sensor, then install the new sensor by threading it in and tightening it securely. Finally, reconnect the electrical connector and the battery, and check for any error codes.
It is problem with catalyst bank 2, catalytic converter, 02 sensor, pcv system, air leaks.
bank one is the rear head, sensor 2 would be the lower one
That should be the sensor after the catalytic converter.
The oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 1 on a 2003 Mazda is typically located on the exhaust system. Specifically, it is found on the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter on the side of the engine that corresponds to bank 2. For a V6 engine, bank 2 is usually the side opposite to bank 1, which is generally the side with cylinder 1. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for precise location details.
sensor one is always closet to the engine usually in the exhaust manifold, bank two is the cylinder head that is furtherest back from the ft of engine.
I've posted several photos of bank 1 sensor 1 & 2 on the mpvclub.com website. Bank 1 sensor 1 is nearly impossible without the right tools.
Bank 1 sensor 1 is upstream bank 1 sensor 2 is downstream
First is upstream on same side as cyl 1, 2d is other side 2d sensor from eng. If they both really needed changed, frankly I would do them all
