The idle air control valve (IACV) on a 1997 Nissan pickup is typically located on the throttle body. It is usually mounted on the side or top of the throttle body assembly and is connected to the intake manifold. To access it, you may need to remove any surrounding components or the air intake duct. Always consult your vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.

Code P1447 on a 1996 Nissan Pick-up indicates a problem with the evaporative emission control system (EVAP), specifically related to the vent control valve or its circuit. This code typically suggests that the valve is either stuck closed or there is an issue with the electrical connections. It can lead to increased emissions and may affect engine performance. To resolve this, check the vent control valve and its wiring for any faults or blockages.
Strangly enough I can answer your query. The idle control valve is located dirctly in front of the upper portion of the intake manifold on the slightly left side. it has an electrical connector on the left end and two hose splines on the right. It is a very easy replacement thuogh expensive to buy. $225 is the lowest I've found for a new one. To get a picture type" Volkswagen idle control valve" into your search engine and pick any vendor. If your Nissan pickup truck's engine is running at high RPM or revving high, it could be due to issues like a faulty throttle position sensor, a vacuum leak, a dirty air filter, or a malfunctioning idle control valve. It is recommended to have a mechanic inspect and diagnose the problem to determine the exact cause and necessary repairs.
