AnswerFor a 2000 Honda Civic HX model, it's on the back side of the engine, just above the oil filter. A rubber hose leads from it up through the intake manifold. You can see it when you remove the oil filter. You can not see it from above the engine, you must look up from below after the oil filter is removed. The manufacturer / dealer repair manual (Page 11-266) illustrates the exact location. This applies to D16Y5 and D16Y8 engines.

D16Y7 and B16A2 engines are also depicted on page 11-266 of the dealer repair manual.

If push comes to shove, ask your local Honda dealer for a copy of the schematic diagram. Make sure to reference page 11-266.
