The aortic valve, often referred to as the AIC valve, is located between the left ventricle of the heart and the aorta. It plays a crucial role in regulating blood flow from the heart to the rest of the body, ensuring that oxygenated blood is efficiently pumped out. The valve opens during ventricular contraction and closes during relaxation to prevent backflow.
On a 2001 Saturn, the AIC (Air Idle Control) valve is typically located on the throttle body, near the intake manifold. It's a small component that helps regulate the engine's idle speed by controlling airflow. To access it, you may need to remove the air intake duct and other components for better visibility and access. Always refer to a service manual for specific instructions and diagrams for your vehicle.
AIC Limited was created in 1985.
The valve located at the entrance of the R.V. is the Tricuspid Valve. The valve located at the entrance of the L.V. is the Bicuspid or Mitral Valve.
The PCV valve is located in the valve cover
From the sounds of it, the AIC Valve (Air Idle Control Valve) is on the outs!!! Surging is usually the giveaway of this .... stalling is the other. Now .... with that said, there are other reasons for this as well. There could be water in the fuel or you may have a vacuum leak or a few other problems. I would have to suspect the AIC Valve is the culprit though as it's a very common part that fails on many of today's fuel injected cars. Good Luck.
the pcv valve is located on top of the valve cover
PCV Valve is located on the Right Valve Cover.
The PCV valve is located on top of the valve cover in the middle.
where is the expansion valve located
the base idel screw in on the bottom of the throttle body.. there should be a cap over itWhile there is a screw, it is more properly an idle stop screw, more than an idle adjustment screw; since the idle is controlled electronically by the SMEC (Single Module Engine Control) through the AIC (or AIS) valve mounted on the Throttle body. The screw that our friend refers to, is used in the factory to crack open the butterfly or throttle plate, but it should not be further adjusted. Instead, find the cause why Idle is not between 700-900 RPM. Possible causes are a dirty AIC valve, or an sticking one; or a wiring intermittent contact at the AIC valve connector; or a cracked insulation on the engine speed sensor, or even a failing throttle position sensor. The EGR valve is located at the front of the h22a4 engine. The EGR valve is right beside of the front of the EGR valve.
same problem. I've researched it. alot of ppl say its the AIC valve or Idle Air Control. Hope that helps...but there 400 beans new so i'd go on eBay and get a guarenteed workin one same problem.
