On the 2002 Chevrolet S10 with a 2.2L four-cylinder engine, the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is located on the intake manifold, near the back of the engine. It's typically mounted on the upper part of the manifold and connected by a couple of vacuum hoses and an electrical connector. To access it, you may need to remove some components like the air intake duct or other nearby parts for better visibility.
Ther is no egr valve on the 2.2 turbo engines. With FI and turbo, there was no need. Some of the earlier carb engines did have egr.
