Under your brake master cylinder against the firewall. The fuel filter is located on the drivers side frame rail just in front of the rear tire. Definately remove the gas cap to relieve system pressure. Disconect the lower hose first, this will allow you to take the 1 bolt loose that releases the strap that holds the filter in place. Once this bolt is out the strap should come loose. You should then be able to drop the filter and disconect the top hose. It's allot harder to disconect the hoses than it is to reconnect them. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to move the hose clamps around. Good luck, James

Are you referring to a 200 model Metro? If so, there is no fuel filter to replace. 1998-2000 Metros have a fuel strainer in the tank.
