It's at the back of the fuel rail (driver's side). It's covered by a black metal cover. difficult to change but not impossible.
remove the one accessable bolt on the cover, (and displace conduit & cables)
pull the black metal cover up & allow it to rotate upward on the aft bolt. This will give you better access when reinstalling the snap ring.
Other than that it's pretty straight forward. (make sure you have a good set of offset snap ring plyers)

Where is my filter for my 97 ISUZU RODEO
The fuel pump pressure for a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo with a 3.5L engine should typically be between 50 to 60 psi (pounds per square inch) when measured at the fuel rail. It's essential to ensure that the fuel system is properly functioning within this range for optimal engine performance. If the pressure is outside this specification, it may indicate a problem with the fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific diagnostics and procedures.
Leaking injectors, and bad fuel pressure regulator are two things. Get this fixed ASAP. Serious engine damage will occur if you continue to drive it in this condition.

On a 2002 Isuzu Axiom, the fuel pressure regulator is typically located on the fuel rail, which is mounted on the engine. It can be identified as a small cylindrical component connected to the fuel line. To access it, you may need to remove the engine cover and other components that obstruct your view. Always ensure to relieve fuel pressure before attempting any repairs.
One good and quick way to check it is to pull the vacuum line off of it and see if there is fuel leaking into the vacuum system. If there is, the regulator is bad.
