That's what I want to know too. My 12 volt plug is not working and I need to check the fuse.

Answer - open the passenger door. It is on the side of the glove box. There is a hole for your finger - pull out. Remove the fuse box cover and on the back you will see the mapping for the fuses. This can also be found in your Mazda 5 manual on page 8-42 to 8-45.

There is a fuse "extractor" in the MAIN fuse box in the engine compartment (located on the drivers side under a black lid). The extractor is on the cover when you turn it over.

Make sure that you replace it with a fuse that has the EXACT amperage. For instance - I replaced my Cigar lighter fuse (15 amp) by swapping out the Seat Warmer fuse (15 amp) - since my car doesn't have one.

Hope that helps. Took me a while to find the thing, so I thought I'd answer question for any other poor schlepp that had to change a fuse.
