Under the hood directly across from the cooling fan on the forward side of the engine there is the exsaust manifold. This is where the sensor's home is located. On some models, the oxygen sensor is on the under side of the manifold. It may be under the car located on the catalytic converter. To remove the sensor, the front bumper, grill, and radiator are removed for ease of access, as the sensor has often welded itself to the manifold. Often, very high heat (from an acetyline torch) must be applied to the manifold (off the vehicle, of course, to prevent a fire) to free the sensor. This heat will destroy the sensor, so be sure it is non-functional before you go to all this trouble and expense.
The oxygen sensor on a Honda Civic is replaced by disconnecting the wiring harness and removing the sensor using a socket wrench. Anti-seize paste is applied to the threads, a new sensor is torqued into place, and the wires reconnected.
it is in the exhaust manifold,or exhaust pipe...
Unplug it and unscrew it.
In the glove box
It is located on the header.
The only thing you can do to them is change them.
i would like a wiring diagram for a Honda civic o2 sensor
The oxygen sensor on a 1999 Honda Civic is located on top of the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter is under the car.
it has a narrow band.
in the catalyc converter... exhaust manifold
If you open the hood of your Honda Civic, most likely you will locate the oxygen sensor (O2) mounted in the exhaust manifold, above the exhaust pipe flange. On some models the exact location might vary, but you can always find the sensor by following the exhaust manifold and pipe. Depending on the year model of your Honda Civic, you may find a Primary Oxygen Sensor (PHO2) right before the catalytic converter and a Secondary Oxygen Sensor (SHO2) right after the catalytic.
Where is the LAF sensor located on a 92 honda civic?
