A stock fuel pump should not be that noisey , a commmon upgrade is a walbro 190 or 255 . from gen 2 eagle talon. these are noisey to very noisey
No, when you purchase a fuel pump you get only the fuel pump. The wiring that connects to the fuel pump is located on the vehicle and should not be removed when you remove the old pump.
In my case i adjust my fuel pressure regulator. but that was because i added a walbro 255 Fuel pump. Generally tho there is a throttle body screw that you can adjust for your idle RPM.
Purchase an inexpensive hand pump and pump it out.
You have to use a fuel pressure gauge. If you do not have it you can purchase it for about $40. You might want to call Autozone and ask if they have one to lease.
There is only three reasons that a mechanical fuel pump will not pump fuel. The fuel filter maybe clogged and need replacement. It may also be the fuel pump diaphragm is busted requiring you to replace the fuel pump. You might be out of fuel.
you might have to change the fuel filter as well that might be your problem or you have clogged injectors
