You can typically find the relay switch for interior lights in the vehicle's fuse box, which is often located under the dashboard or in the engine compartment. Some vehicles may also have a dedicated relay panel. Refer to your vehicle’s owner manual for specific locations and diagrams to identify the correct relay for the interior lights.

Why do the 1996 Buick Park Avenue interior lights come on and stay on a long time and go off at random while driving?

When you open the door a switch is closed and that turns on the interior lights. When you turn the key off and exit the car the lights are kept on by a timied relay. I would think that the most likely culprit would be the door switch. It may be loose or misadjusted and randomly making contact. Look inside the door frames for the switch and see if any are loose. Push on them and see if the lights go out. Make sure one of them is not "Sticky". TommyTrouble

If the interior and parking lights on my 99 Nissan pathfinder are not working which fuse do you check?

If the interior and parking lights are not working on a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder, the first fuses to check would be the interior light fuse. Also check to make sure the light switch is in the right position to allow the interior lights to come on.

Park lights but no headlights Pontiac?

Check fuses if there is one specific for the lights (not interior) Find it funny that both would burn out at the same time so would imagine it is in the switch.

On a 1992 Volvo 240 the parking lights won't turn off. Light switch position makes no difference. In fact unplugging the light switch makes no difference. Any suggestions?

I would assume that there is a relay for the parking lights. It sounds like the relay has frozen with the contacts closed. Replacing this relay should solve the problem.

Just a guess , has your guage lighting dimmer wheel switch been rotated all the way down ( or to one side ) ? I believe that will turn off all the interior lights It is located to the right of your headlight switch
