there's a vacuum line reciever close to the air intake manifold. it should be an angled rubber/foam fitting that looks like it's missing a hose...that's it
On the left-lower part of the intake manifold (if facing the motor.) The hose runs underneath the manifold.
It is a small 'L' shaped hose that goes from the side if the water manifold to the bottom of the carburetor intake manifold. I believe it is part of the water supply to the carburetor manifold that heats it.
well i had the same problem and the hose runs from the manifold back to a drum shaped part on driver side, if i unplug it the check engine light comes on, so i assume this is where it goes.
I have a 2000 Malibu, I can help you out if you can give me some more info...where on the intake manifold are you referring to?
Go to autozone and get a recharging kit. The suction line will be in the back near the firewall
if the fuel line is steel then cut out the bad spot, and go to auto parts store and buy fuel injector hose. put hose where line is cut out and use fuel injector type clamps to hold hose.
Exam question or EPA violator?
There should be a vaccum source / T that is screewed into the back top side of the intake manifold and that line will plug in there. It must go to a vaccum source at all times when engine is idleing. ( direct vaccum )
air leak to inlet manifold check small hoses the back of the inlet manifold if the hose is blocked with carbon clean it or replace and clean crankcase breather all of it.
To replace a sink hose, first turn off the water supply. Disconnect the old hose from the faucet and the water supply line. Install the new hose by connecting it to the faucet and the water supply line. Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks.
IF YOU FOLLOW THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE IT LEADS YOU RIGHT TO IT. TOP FRONT CENTER OF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. TWO BOLTS AND THE HOSE CLAMP AND YOU HAVE IT OUT THEN REVERSE PROCEDURE AND YOUR GOOD TO GO AFTER YOU TOP OFF THE COOLANT.
