Charging a dead car battery?

To charge a dead car battery, you'll need a compatible battery charger or jumper cables and another vehicle with a working battery. If using a battery charger, connect the positive terminal of the charger to the dead battery’s positive terminal and the negative terminal to a grounded metal point on the car. If jump-starting, connect the positive terminals of both batteries first, followed by the negative terminal of the working battery to the dead battery's negative terminal.
