Normally this means the pump is failing and it overheating and working very hard. It can also mean you have a short in the wiring or a loose connection.
Yes
Yes, a faulty fuel pump can blow fuses. If the pump experiences a short circuit or draws excessive current due to internal failure, it can overload the electrical system, leading to blown fuses. This is a protective measure to prevent further damage to the vehicle's wiring and components. Regular maintenance can help identify such issues before they cause electrical problems.
the winding in the fuel pump is more than likely burnt out, or the brush's inside it are stuck, you would be safer replacing than atempting to repair
Fuel pump is defective and needs replacing.
Check to insure that you are replacing the fuse with the same fuse size and type (fast blow fuses don't substitute for slow blow.) If this is ok the either the pump relay or the pump is going bad and drawing too much power for the fuse to handle.
If the fuel pump is not getting electricity then either the fuel pump fuses is blown or the fuel pump relay is defective.
Sounds like there is an electrical short or grounding somewhere in the fuel system electrical circuit. Are you sure yu have the correct size fuse? If it occurs after you start the engine it could be that there is a fuel filter blockage as well. I have the same problem i have replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump. but it would still blow fuses then i un hooked the wireing hrness and yet again it still blow fuses so there might be a bad connection behind the fuse box or power leading to the fuse box.
Fuel pump... yes. OIL pump... NO!
Overload or short in wiring?
Check to make sure that the pump is getting power to the Neon fuel pump. Check the pump relay, and the pump fuses.
Defective fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay.
With the other fuses in the fuse box
