the camaro easily outran the mustang because even the smallest camaro engine the 327 outperformed the small mustangs 289. the camaro also came with a 350 so the mustang did not have a chance
289 4v 225 hp
Probably 225, unless it's a hi-po then 271
Use the clutch and shift the gears. Manual transmissions don't have dip sticks.
You have to be more specific. What is the engine size?
It depends on the OEM engine that came in this Mustang. If it came with a 200 inline 6 cylinder or 289 V8 then Ford installed 2 different sizes on this vehicle.185/75-14195/75-14If however is came with the 289 High Output or 428 then the OEM size is:205/75-14If it had the 390 as the OEM engine then it came with one of these 2 sizes:195/75-14205/75-14
I've got a 66 Mustang with a 289 C code. Rated at 200 H.P. but a stout 280 ft*lbs of torque or so. By C code, I assume you're referred to the 2V heads and 2 bbl carb. Should be very very similar for 67 if not the same.
a 67 mustang cost about $30,000
No you can not, the 67 had a different body style than the 65-6
the newer bulbs that replace the older ones draw more power and overheat the headlight switch. buy a new headlight switch and try that, it worked on my 67.
well......being you could get a 289 in a 1965 mustang new.....and a 302 is exactly the same size......exactly that is......as a 289......then Of course it will fit!......a c4 tranny?....Most came with a C4....or a three or four speed standard. Its a simple bolt in installation if you have the V8 motormounts particular to the 65-67 mustang. You will also need the trans crossmember and that's about it......If I'm right in assuming the C4 you mention came from the 1980 302. If its from a six cylinder, you will need to change the six cylinder bellhousing for a 289/302 bellhousing. and that's it....have fun.
my 67 was on top
