The brakelight switch, wiring, bulb holder(s) or bulb is shorting out.
It's probably your brake lights, not your brakes.
Are both your brake lights blowing out? If it affects only one light: it could be a bad light socket, or a pinched or frayed wire that is shorting out.
nothing, get it fixed by an auto electriction , there is a shortage somewhere
Chances are there is a short somewhere in the wiring
I suspect the switch is bad.
If the fuse for your brake lights on a 1996 GMC Sonoma keeps blowing, it could be due to a short circuit in the wiring, a malfunctioning brake light switch, or a problem with the brake lights themselves, such as a faulty bulb. Inspect the wiring for any signs of damage or fraying, and check the brake light switch for proper operation. Additionally, ensure that the bulbs are the correct type and not causing a short. If these components are all functioning well, it may be helpful to consult a professional for further diagnosis.
Replace turn signal switch. Its grounding when you put turn signals on. I had the same problem and replaced it .Solved issues.
A short in the wiring.
why does my turn signal light keep burning out and why is the sockets and plastic lens melted.
A short circuit somewhere.
There is a short to ground in the stop lamp circuit. The most common places for the short to be located are at either lamp, and at the trailer wiring(if equipped).
Yes that could be the cause. If you keep blowing a fuse, either you have a short, loose connection, too small a fuse, or the circuit is overloaded.
