Cook as in hot or cook as in bubble?
A hot battery is either faulty inside or being charged to quickly.
A bubbling battery is normal if it bubbling a little bit. The charging process will separate the water into Oxygen and Hydrogen causing bubbles and the electrolyte level to lower.
When charging a car battery, the red positive cable should be connected first.
charging system not charging battery with new batttery, alternator and fuel pump. what will make that happen ?
Yes. The charging causes a chemical change in the electrolyte of the battery.
only if the car your using to charge the other on is not started
No.
Yes, as long as the charging system is is good working order.
No
no
The charging system may be over charging the battery. Over charging the battery can speed up the evaporation process. Have the electrical system tested.
Apparently the alternator is bad or the battery is shot, take the car to autozone and get a free charging system check.
take the car to a repair shop and have them put a battery tester on it. it may be the alternator or the battery the tester will tell
No, this will place a very heavy load on the alternator of the car and may result in burning out the diodes of the car charging the battery. You could easily ruin the alternator. Purchase a battery charger and charge the dead battery with that. Alternators are not made to charge dead batteries.
