A burning rubber smell from your car's transmission may indicate that the Transmission Fluid is overheating or contaminated, possibly due to low fluid levels or a failing transmission component. It could also suggest that the clutch is slipping, especially in manual transmissions. It's important to address this issue promptly, as continued driving can lead to more severe damage. Consider having a professional mechanic inspect your vehicle to diagnose and resolve the problem.
no you need to get it fixed and it will cost alot.
Burning rubber is slang for spinning the tires. The rubber burns due to friction which causes heat which melts the rubber and causes it to smoke.
A burn out will ruin tires on race cars by burning up the rubber. The rubber of the tires will get worn from the friction of the pavement causing the tires to tear.
If your talking about cars... If you smell a burning smell, or your red battery light comes on then i would get your alternator checked out!
during a brand new cars "break in" its normal to smell like somethings burning, coming from the brakes and exhaust...the metal on the disc brakes and the pads heat up for the first time making it smell like somethings burning, same goes for the catalytic converter in the exhaust system.
Since cars were first made tires were always rubber.
most rubber parts in cars such as belt and the tires do get hot not very hot.
My best guess would be either the brakes or the clutch. Many cars will smell of burnt rubber a bit after having their brakes changed. The new brakes need to adapt a bit to an old car and excessive material is burned off whilst you drive. This is normal and not harmfull except for the smell for a few hours. The clutch (unsure of proper English/US name. could be Transmission or something). As you drive, you step on a pedal every time you stop at a red light. This keep engine running whilst you hit the brake. Every time you stop and start, this creates wear and tear and in the end your car will be screaming for spare parts. Automatic transmission cars have sort of this problem too. A lot of stops and starts and they need spare parts. Some parts simply do not last for ever.
My Ford cars always seem to have this problem. I took them to the factory dealer many times. They also seemed to overheat. I finally had the radiator completely replaced by a radiator shop and this seemed to clear up most of the burning smell and overheating. My conclusion from these experiences is that the Ford radiators are not quality. Consider replacing your radiator. It is a lot cheaper than the alternative of having your engine seize. Oh, this solution was not suggested by the shops, they just kept replacing my hoses and water pump.
Rubber band cars can travel a shorter distance compared to other types of toy cars, as they rely on the tension of the rubber band for propulsion, which limits their range.
how do you make a rubber band car
