Fuel pressure regulator. it has a hole in the seal.it is allowing fuel to by pass when it is suppose to not.
The fuel pump runs constantly as long as the engine is running.
Turning the key to only the on position, the pump will only run for a couple of seconds to prime the system. Turning the key on and starting the engine, the pump will run and keep running as long as the engine is running.
Why does my fuel pump keep running on my 1984 190E
The crankshaft position sensor has nothing to do with the fuel pump but a defective fuel pump relay and fuel pump fuse will and also a missing ground circuit will cause it not to run
If you're talking about a fuel pump, then yes, a failed fuel pump or fuel pump relay will keep a fuel-injected car from running.
If the key is in the on position and the engine is not running, the fuel pump is off. If the engine is running then the fuel pump is also. During the start cycle the pump will only run for 3 seconds unless the engine starts.
Is the fuel pump actually running. Turn the ignition to the on position without starting the engine and you should hear the pump run for a few seconds. If you do not check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay. If they are both good replace the fuel filter as it may be clogged. Lastly, it is possible that new fuel pump is defective. Is the fuel pump actually running. The fuel pump relay is probably stuck. Try replacing the fuel pump relay.
Low of fuel. Fuel shutoff set to off position. Fuel filter clogged. Fuel pump running but not pumping any fuel and must be replaced.
First off make sure the pump is actually running. Have a helper turn the ignition key to the on position without starting the engine. With the fuel filler door open and cap off listen at the fuel tank and you should hear the pump run for a few seconds and then shut off. If you do not hear the pump running check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay. If they are both good then the fuel pump is defective. Even if the relay & fuse are good and the pump is running that does not necessarily mean it is actually pumping fuel. The fuel filter can be clogged or the pump may be running but not pumping fuel. A fuel pressure test at the fuel rail with a pressure gauge will verify the condition of the pump.
First off check the fuel pump fuse to make sure it is not blown. The best thing to do is just replaced the relay to make sure that is not the problem. If you can hear the pump run with the ignition to the on position, engine not running then it may be good. But it is possible the pump is running and not pumping fuel. A fuel pressure test at the fuel rail will verify the condition of the pump.
either your fuel pump is about to go out or you just have a noisy fuel pump but its because it is always pumping fuel when the car is running
