Many gas pumps have an automatic shutoff that engages if the pump nozzle detects that it's not firmly and fully inserted or if it detects that the tip of the nozzle has become submerged. This prevents pumping gas out on the ground or overfilling the tank.
Assuming you've got it inserted properly, this can happen if the pump is filling the fill tube faster than it can drain into the tank. You may have better results by not compressing the handle fully so that the gas pumps at a slightly lower rate that your fill tube can keep up with.
Check fuel filter for clogging, lines and fuel pump may be going on you. Good luck.
by putting gas
NO. But you can remove the fuel pump fuse are relay to shut the pump off.
It does not have one, You have to remove the fuel pump fuse are relay to shut the pump down.
by putting a tub in the gas tank that fits it then suck in the air and wait till it cums out...... i think?
Try putting the gas pump nozzle in all the way and then pull it back about 1 inch That's what I have to do to keep the gas pump from kicking out every few seconds
If you don't smell gas or see gas leaking , press the button down on the top of your fuel pump shut off switch if it has popped up ( the switch is located in the right front passenger's footwell by the kick panel )
Replace the fuel pump.
The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the right front passenger footwell , behind the kick panel
If that is because the gas pump keeps shutting off , try putting the gas pump nozzle all the way in and then pull it back about 1 inch , worked for me.
Ni. If you don't have fuel preasure, check the pump relay.
Does the gas pump keep shutting off ? If so , try putting the gas pump nozzle all the way in and then pull it back about 1 inch . A gas station attendent told me that when the gas pump kept shutting off when I was trying to fill my Ford Explorer gas tank , it works for me
