Fuel pressure test.
Fuel pressure test.
Noisey pump, hard starting, stalling. Replace the fuel filter and have a fuel pressure test run.
psi on a 2000 Chevy truck, place the key in the on position the fuel pressure should be between 50- 60 psi....The General Motors test for this is the pressure should NOT drop more than 6-8 psi during the first 10 secounds, if it does check you fuel lines for leakes at the filter and check the check ball in the fuel system
Test for fuel pressure, the fuel pump may be bad.
Fuel pressure test. If you cannot hear it run for a few seconds when you turn the ignition on without starting the engine, then check the fuse and fuel pump relay. If it runs but you are not getting enough fuel, replace the fuel filter. If you still have the problem have a fuel pressure test run to see if the pump is weak.
Fuel pressure test. Of course if it is not running, fuse and relay are good then it is bad.
Fuel pump pressure test.
When you fill up the truck it stirs up trash on the bottom of the tank and pulls it up on the sock and slows the flow of gas and it will also pull alot if trash up into your fuel filter. GM fuel pump failure is common, I wouldn't be surprised if the fuel pump is bad. Have a fuel pump pressure test done. Don't forget to change the fuel filter.
A fuel pressure test will help determine the condition of the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator provided the fuel pump electrical circuit, fuse and relay check okay.
It doesn't have one. To test the fuel pressure an adapter has to be installed between a fitting at the fuel filter and the fuel filter, preferably the fitting feeding into the filter from the pump.
Test the electrical connections to the fuel pump, then test the fuel pump.
