how do you replace a turn signal bulb on a 2004 jeep liberty. I can not find screws or a panel to go through
This vehicle has poor ground connections for the front turn signal circuits. You need to go the dealer and have them install a front turn signal repair kit. It consists of a small repair harness and a modified turn signal bulb socket, plus a modified bulb.
You have a dual-filament signal bulb somewhere with a bad ground. Turn the headlights and turn signal on. The bulb with the bad ground will go completely out at times, even though the headlights are on.
Generally, a change in turn signal blink rate is an indication of a burned out bulb. Depending on the manufacturer's design, some circuits will speed up, and some will slow down, when the current load is reduced.
Usually means the bulb is out. Turn on the turn signal then go out and see if the signal light is flashing.
It could be a few things. It could be a bad ground on the light bulb (the bulb could be working but be corroded at the ground), a bad flasher unit, a bad turn signal switch, or a bad bulb.
Check and make sure you have the correct bulb. The turn signal/brake light is a dual element bulb and if you have a single element it does not work properly.
you have to go inside engine compartment to the front right side, then reach in and disconnect signal/parking bulb holder electrical connector. Then rotate the turn signal bulb holder 1/4 turn COUNTERCLOCKWISE to remove it.
take of the cover and go get a new bulb and put it in, or go to a dealer and theyll do it
Defective turn signal switch.
Try checking the right turn signal light bulbs, front and back. Sometimes one of the filaments inside the bulb can break and short out causing the signal not to blink. If you do go this route you might as well change them while you're there.
A factory radio will go off when you use a turn signal because of a bad connection, and you are advised to check the antenna lead, grounds, and the flasher.
